Yacht photography across the Balearics, Malta and Corsica

The Mediterranean islands attract a large share of the charter fleet and many refit and home-port yachts. Palma is one of the main superyacht hubs in Europe, Ibiza and Formentera are among the most booked charter areas, Malta offers a long season and a historic harbour, and Corsica gives wild coastline between France and Sardinia. We fly in for every project with photography, film, drone and social media covered by one crew.

Island shoots depend on getting the details right: flights and kit, marina access, protected seabed and nature reserves, and wind that can change the plan overnight. We handle logistics, permits and local fixers, and send one fixed quote within 24 hours, even when the brief covers several islands.

Yacht photographer in Palma de Mallorca

Palma is where many yachts spend the winter, complete refits and prepare for the season. That makes it a practical place for brokerage shoots: the yacht is often alongside with time between yard periods and charters, and interiors can be shot properly before guests arrive. Port Adriano and Puerto Portals on the bay offer modern marinas with open water close by for exterior work.

For running shots and lifestyle scenes, the coast of Mallorca gives cliffs, pine-covered headlands and clear coves. We also shoot refit before-and-after coverage for managers and yards, so the same trip can deliver new listing images and documentation of the work done.

Ibiza and Formentera: charter imagery in clear water

Ibiza and Formentera are a charter destination first, and the imagery should reflect that: guests in the water, water toys, long lunches on deck and sunset scenes. The shallow sand bottoms around Formentera give very bright turquoise water, which reads especially well from the air.

The seabed around these islands includes protected posidonia seagrass meadows, and anchoring over them is restricted. We plan positions with the captain in advance so the shot list works with the permitted anchoring areas, and schedule drone flights around local aviation rules and restricted zones.

Malta's Grand Harbour and the coast of Corsica

Malta combines a long cruising season with one of the most striking harbour settings in the Mediterranean. Grand Harbour, with the fortifications of Valletta around it, is a strong backdrop for exterior and drone work, while Gozo and Comino offer clear water and limestone cliffs for lifestyle scenes.

Corsica has a completely different character. Bonifacio sits on white cliffs at the southern tip of the island, and the coast around Calvi and Porto-Vecchio mixes granite, beaches and mountains. Several areas, including the Lavezzi Islands, are nature reserves with their own rules, which we check before the shoot. The mistral can be strong in the Strait of Bonifacio, so we keep flexible days in the plan.

Questions we get asked

FAQ.

When is the best time to photograph a yacht in Palma or Ibiza?

April to June and September to October give good light, warm water and less crowded anchorages. In Palma, spring is also when many yachts leave the yard and need fresh images before the charter season.

Can you shoot in Malta outside the summer months?

Yes. Malta's season runs longer than most of the Mediterranean, and we shoot there from April to November. Wind and sea state are checked day by day for exterior and drone work.

Can one quote cover Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera?

Yes. Send us the itinerary and we return one fixed quote within 24 hours for the whole trip, including travel, logistics and local fixers.

Are there drone or anchoring restrictions in the Balearics and Corsica?

Both regions have protected marine areas and aviation rules that affect where you can anchor and fly. We plan every drone flight around local rules and restricted zones, and agree anchoring positions with the captain in advance.

Are the images ready for charter and listing platforms?

Yes. Galleries are delivered formatted for listing and charter platforms, alongside full-resolution files for print and brochures.
